Day 4 Lebanon MO

Shortly after leaving the hotel this morning we came across a VW Rabbit 'graveyard' display. Then a great road heading to the Chain of Rocks bridge. This was the original Route 66 bridge over the Mississippi, but due to the accidents caused by its sharp turn, it was closed and now is open to foot traffic.
This was the first time I've crossed the mighty river. I was on her eastern banks on my trip a couple of years ago, but now I'm on the other side.
We made it to the Arch in St Louis. Such great weather and the pictures came out great. Unfortunately, due to many road closures we got a bit tossed about in the city, then through crap riding in the suburbs, but finally we hit the good roads. Riding on the side roads alongside Route 44, crossing up and over from one side to the other, with a few miles of having to hit the highway when the side roads disappear.
245 mile and we ended up in Lebanon MO. Weather cooperated today, clear beautiful skies and warming up into the 70's. Tomorrow we're off to Kansas and Oklahoma.
The aches and pains are keeping to a minimum. Stopping every hour or so certainly helps.
